the setup>> Stock engine, vortex ram air, B&B shorties, corsa x pipe, corsa indy system.. I'm hearing that all I'll change by adding high flow cats is maybe a deeper slightly louder sound but zilch in seat of pants performance gains....... thoughts, comments?

I've heard the same. From what I understand the cats are not very restrictive on the vette so high flow cats won't do much more unless with something like forced induction or larger engine where you have a huge increase in exhaust going though the system.

Unless your present cats are a source of significant flow restriction, I would anticipate little performance gain; maybe a few hp on the dyno but not much felt on the seat of your pants.

Most will not change the exhaust sound much if at all.

Most comparisons I've seen are a stock setup vs high flow exhuast including the high flow cat plus high flow exhaust system. I've only seen one dyno graph of a Random Technologies high flow cat vs stock cat on a 300Z Turbo, and it gained around 8-10 hp/tq., but I do not know if that was due just to the cat change, the conditions of his stock cats (were they plugged or restrictive), with additional tuning on the dyno, or if it would be at all meaningful to our corvettes as I do not know the 300Z design.

I've seen most around $150/ea, not sure if its worth it.

Gotcha..not certain whether there really is any upside with my setup. Hoping for someone who's done it or maybe a tuner to catch the thread......... Appreciate the input guys.........

I've done it (so to speak), but as one item in a multi-upgrade project, so I can't tell you if it is worth much as a stand alone choice. I would doubt it though.

Enjoy your ride Mike!
