Hi folks,

I have had this problem ever since I got my Vette 3 years ago. It happens mostly when the car is parked for a duration of time. I read the article in the CAC Tech Center and I understand one possible cause is the lubricant getting trapped behind the "shift shaft detent". I do not know how to locate this part since I do not have the GM Service Manual.

Remember I am in Turkey and I need to instruct the repair guys how to perform the operation :)

The same article suggests to replace the "Shift Detent Ball Roller" part no 12528778 and the replacement procedure sounds quite simple:

Does anyone have pictures / schematics to explain this procedure? I would love to understand this better before I attempt to replace the part.

Cheers,

Selim
