I have recently purchased a 82 model that has had the cross fire replaced with a Edelbrock RPM Manifold and Holley Carb that will not clear the stock hood. I am looking at replacing it with one Ecklers high rise hoods.
The rear bumper is warped and also needs to be replaced, I am looking at Ecklers custom bumper for replacment .
Does anyone have any sugestions on what hood to use and how the custom bumper would look on the car.
Thanks,
Duane

Duan,

The L88 style hood has the highest rise I am aware of for an otherwise fairly normal looking hood.

There are taller versions of the cowl induction hood out there. Check out Patsnitrousvette, as he has a nice tall cowl induction style hood.

You will just have to shop around for what you want and the best deal. Believe it or not, JC Whitney sells custom Vette hoods for a reasonable price.

On the rear bumper, you can just replace that with an aftermarket fiberglass version. It will still have to be hand fitted to the car, block out, and painted...but it will look great and won't warp in the sun like your old rubber one.

eckler's has a very good quality higher rise hood(looks like stock only taller). the quality is quite good. i was given one and am currently preping it for my 74.
also i like the eckler's custom rear bumper with the taller spoiler.
