how do i take my a/c out

my a/c dosnt work so i want to take it out. what do i need to do with the a/c compressor lines. can i just cap the end of the lines and loosen up the compressor and pull it out. Anyone with some advice on how i should go about doing this, please give me some advice.

Why not repair it and enjoy it? A C3 in the summer in Georgia has to be a hot ride

Where in GA are you located? I'm re-doing the A/C in my 77, and could give you a couple of tips for you removal.
