How Hot Are C4's Supposed To Run

My 84 runs 200 +/- 3 degrees runing down the hiway or in city and sitting in traffic it will get to about 233-235 and then the fan comes on and cools it on down to about 218. Now I do know that my gauge is about 5-7 degrees higher than what the temp really is. I verified that by hooking my Snap on scanner up and found that at 228 on the scanner the car gauge was reading 233 and that is when the fan kicks on. I have a Z51 Coupe and only have one fan and I don't see a secondary oil cooler. Everything appears stock. I got the build sheet and window sticker and they all say Z51. Car runs awesome and temp never worries me being in the auto business I knew these c4's run hotter than normal. I am running a stock 195 TStat.

I would like to get one of those chips from Ed Wright. 230 degrees scares me to death too.

How can I contact him?

Thanks,

J

Thanks Warren. I'd rather spend $3 anyday against the cost of a chip. Is there any disadvantage to leaving the fans on in city driving?

Water Wetter?

I am curious as well, what is this product, and the advantage of it?

IT works, I use it. you will see a decrease of between 5 to 10 degrees on average.

Is compatible with all types of antifreeze.

Not sure of the science, but i think it reduces the surface tension and density of coolent and allows better heat absorbsion for surrounding surfaces.
