Anyone know how to disable the LTPWS light? I bought my 95 vette last week and as you can see from my recent postings, it came with a few minor issues. The most annoying is the LTPWS light on the dash. The previous owner bought new tires at a place that did not know how to treat a vette and they runined the tire sensors. The dealer wants 2500.00 (Yes thats two thousand five hundred)! Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative or how to disable that light?

I think your best solution is to remove the bulb from the DIC. You may want to check some salvage yards or parts stores, GMpartsdirect.com-TLD.com.:)

I've read about this somewhat, since mine came on a few weeks ago. Pulling the fuse for the cruise control will disable it, along with your cruise control. My problem is with a computer... the one in the rear that controls the EBCM. We put the car on the diagnostics computer and found nothing wrong with the LTPWS, but did find a code indicating a problem with the EBCM. In talking to Chevrolet, the light is an indication that the computer is malfunctioning - not the LTPWS. Lots of luck!

$2,500 sounds very high. Sounds like you need to replace all your sensors. I know 6 Shooter is getting ready to replace one sensor and I'm pretty sure the price he got would not come close to your price even if he had to get 3 more sensors.

The prices I've seen on the sensors range from $40 to about 80. Try gmpartsdirect.com. Email them and theyll send you the part number. One of the Corvette forums (I forget which) has detailed instructions, including pics, for changing tires and sensors. Most likely the shop either damaged the sensors, or did not install them correctly. The estimate sounds like its to replace everything, including the computer module.

DITTO! I removed mine a while back & it's been a very pleasant ride without that annoying light:)
