Do they still have NuVinyl? I remember seeing a commerical for it. Supposed to have that real new car smell you apply to your dash.

I tried something called a new car smell....it sucked. I don't of anything. I'll might try that "desert night".

Use Zaino Leather Cleaner. Best "new smell" is the smell of leather.

That's basically what I do. I clean my leather almost as often as I clean my car, and the car always smells great. My wife comments on it almost every time she gets in the car. Make sure whatever you use contains lanolin (sp?).
You don't want to used anything with silicone.

Guys....Where do you get you Zaino Z10 ? On line it's $10.95 + $8.95 Shipping. Kinda high on the Frt. Cost I think.

I agree about the shipping. I usually wait until I need a bunch of their products. I'm a believer in their wash, wax, and clay. I swear, I'd do commercials for their products.

I concur with Dons97 Zaino is great stuff. I love the clay, wax, tire, and leather products. This stuff is amazing. I have never felt a slicker surface on a car after using Zaino wax. Nothing sticks to it at all.
My car looks great and with the leather cleaner it smells brand new.
I cant say enough about Zaino. Yeah its not cheap but then again consider it an investment.

Zaino Z-10 for that "New Car Smell"

It's the Zaino Z-10 "Leather in a Bottle" treatment and conditioner that you want. I can tell you this product absolutely works and will leave your car smelling like new leather inside which is great. I have been using it on the neglected Sport Seats in my 96 and they are getting soft again and starting to come around to where I think I can live with them now. The leather likes to be massaged with Z-10 and your bare hands. Treat hardened neglected leather often with Z-10 to nourish and it will eventually soften.

Regards, Greg

I realize I'm a little late in jumping into this thread, but the subject matter triggered my recall of a story I heard on the news a couple of weeks ago. According to this story, that smell in new cars is actually the aroma of adhesives and glues used in the final assembly of the interior components. And, it's actually toxic. :ugh

I agree about using Zaino on the leather. It does smell great after its applied, and it works wonders on keeping the leather nice and supple. I also have used Lexol, which works well, too, and is a lot easier to find that Zaino, but it's a two step process as opposed to the single step Zaino uses.

Same here. My Mom, God bless her, thought she was doing me a favor and whipped this stuff called 'That New Car Smell' outta her WallyWorld bag and in a word: :puke EEEEWWW!

It smells more like Lysol--no kidding. It took me awhile. I knew it had this odd, hospital-like smell. Had an assignment at one of the hospitals a few weeks ago and smelled that scent and thought, AH-HA!!! Lysol!!! Just like a wiped down ambulance.
