The 700R4 just cant handle the beating that is in store, so its not an option. Right now I have a working DN 4+3, but I need to upgrade to an Auto. I am building a AFR Headed, Mini-rammed, nitrous fed 377 (destroked 400) for my vette, and I would like to use a turbo 350 or 400 w/ a fairly big stall. I looked on the internet, but couldnt find any C4's w/ this set-up. If I have to fabricate a crossmember for it, I will, it cant be that hard. I have thought of a few different desings of how I am going to pull this off, and I know I can make it work, and be strong, but it would be easier if there was already a kit for this. If anyone has done this before, or knows of a kit to do it, I would would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks
Chris

there are places out there that sell 700r4s that are up to the beating it is basicly a 350 with a 4th speed . there were derivatives of the 350 with a clutch set up also . I think i would stay with the 700 only my 2 cents :w steve

why not a 4l60E or 4l80E they are basically a TH400 with OD and the 4l60E has been around since 96 or so look in the Junkyards for Cop Caprices or Impala SS
they will handle it. the 700R-4 and even the 200R-4 can be made to work with the correct parts.
My choice is the Tremec TKO ;)

The 700's were not desinged to handle high RPM beatings, every vehicle they have been installed in from the factory were low RPM motors. 700's do not share any major parts w/ a turbo 350. A modified 700r4 cant touch a modified turbo 350 as fars as which can hold more power. There is no question of that. My car will be well into the 600hp range, so i'm not taking any chances w/ a 700.

I dont want a tranny w/ an electronic valve body, but thanks tho.. overdrive is not important as this vehicle is seldom driven. Just a weekend bruiser.. ;)

Got ya. big engine big stall big gears, set ya back in the rear compartment kinda stuff:cool not worried about gas milage at all ;LOL

Chris, I don't think there's any way a TH400 will fit in your tunnel. That dude is a brute, and it wastes a lot of power. A built up TH350 would be plenty for you and they are the same size I think as the 4L60.
