How to reduce size of avitar for signature?

Someone please share the secret of reducing a photo or clip art to fit the avitar requirements for this site. Thanks for your help.
 
Can't figure out why it is so difficult on this side of the pond (Germany) to get this to download and work for me????? May I send you a regular email with attachment of my avitar to resize?

Police is doing surveillance by foot thats why whe have the unlimited speed at the autobahn :L

just across the border from Germany.

My friend went to FAME last year - wasn't there some question if would continue??? He had a blast and said a couple Callaway Corvettes were there :cool

we had Dave mc Lellan as a guest too

and with our technical meeting 2 weeks ago we invited Mr Gordon Killebrew
