My little bose tags are loose and rattle.

So do the door speaker covers pop off or do I have to remove the door panels first? I didn't want to attempt and tear or break anything without knowing.

My plan is to either push those little locking washer thingies on the back or just shoot some silicone advesive through the grills from the back. Depends what I see when I get in there.

Thanks!

Hi Eric -

I had the same problem on Maggie's 99 coupe -

You do have to remove the door panel - but it is a snap - look at the link in the post above that links to vette essentials -

It's a 1/2 hour job if you take your time and are real careful.

I crimped them up as tight as I dared, and then put a dab of silicone sealant on the underside of the emblem where it is "tabbed" into the grille. The bose logo is kinda "hollow", so I filled it with a dab of silicone- let it set up, and then put the thing back together.

The emblems can still move a small amount, but the silicone damps the rattle so that it is no longer an annoying problem.

best regards -

Cool info, thanks guys!

You all have it all wrong. The Bosse emblems are supposed to rattle when the radio is on to make it sound like someone is playing a tamborine in the music when there isn't one. :upthumbs
