Can an auto climate control controller be added to a car that doesn't have automatic control?

Two of the three control knobs have broken on my controller and I was thinking that it might be nicer just to drop the above unit into the car. Would it work?

HI there,
No, the automatic does NOT use vacuum source to control mode.
The C60, which is the one with 3 dials, does use vacuum at the module itself.
Plus the changes in the eletronics is substantial.
