Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

I coulda' had a LS1 !!

Would this work on an older C3? 1974? Carberator? Or do we need complete electrical upgrade, EFI; which would be a near impossibity for a mechanically challenged hack such as myself. Thanks,Ben

WOW! That ain't too shabby! Makes for a cheap starting point to build a monster engine. (But your ZZ4 is still better out of the box. More HP & Tq).

Farmer, the engine they show doesn't have any intake on it, so you'd need to add your own intake manifold and thus a carb or EFI, whatever you choose. If you go with a carburated setup, I think the computer controls are at a minimum, if any at all.
If you use the search function in our C3 forums, you should be able to find threads pertaining to other members that have already done this conversion and what all is involved. Or do a google search for LS1 conversions. Doesn't matter what car it's for as the overall approach is going to be the same.
