For > 2Yrs I've heard this mutted ring sound when going over a moderate bump. The sound seemed to come from the rear. Many friends who have driven the car said the same. Turns out the clang was coming from the fairing around the drivers side headlights. 1 metal screw was missing[outboard] and the others were loose, hence the ring. Strange thing was the sound always came from the rear[drivers side wheelwell]. Checked/thigtened the vent and pipe mounts many times. No Joy. The headlight fairing was the prob.
