Since selling my '80 a decade ago, I've dreamed of getting my next Vette.

After 10 years of climbing the corporate ranks, paying my dues, and collecting all the necessities of life, I finally got my dream car again. So please, bear with me as I learn how to make my C5 faster, tighter, and better looking.

Just bought a low milage 2000 LS1 six-speed coupe (pewter), and am looking forward to tricking out what, in my opinion, is the ultimate sports car.

Thanks to the moderators for building and maintaining this board, and to all the other C5 owners who make it worth vistiting.

Best regards,

Rob

RobRazor ~ Welcome to the Corvette Action Center Community ~

Thank you for your kind words, they're greatly appreciated ;)

I really don't think you'll see much difference between the 1980 you once had and your 20 year newer C5 ... NOT..

I'm sure there are plenty of C5'ers that would be more than willing to help you spend some "Go Fast $$$" We enjoy having you here, hope your can find time to Enjoy the :Steer

Check out the Events Forum's Section ;) every so often. We might be able to get a few of us Northern CA, CAC'ers together for a weekend or run over to the coast for dinner ;) sometime..

Rob, Welcome, and congratulations on your vette.
I'm glad you've enjoyed the CAC so far. I think you'll find it just gets better and better the more you visit :)
I don't have much advice for mods for your car since I haven't done much yet myself. The one thing I can advise, is this: if your car still has the 1st to 4th skip shift, GET RID OF IT!! (the skip shift, not the car ;) ) You might not know what a nuisance it is until its gone.

Rob: You won't be able to stop your heart from pounding when you drive the C5. That's the way I get when I drive my '99 'vert. Mind boggling compared to my old '74 vert. Enjoy!:w :pat

Welcome Rob!

Welcome to Corvette Action Center and back to being owned by a vette!

Welcome back to the world of Corvettes...and congratulations on your new C5!! We're also owners of a new 2002 convertible and have yet to really drive it as our winter has been abominable this year...but we expect the C5 to be way more car than our old '74!! Lots for us to learn!

Welcome and congratulations on your C5! Two necessary mods - CAGS defeat (shift1 - 4) and better air breathing system. These cars are awesome and I hope you have miles of smiles! :Steer

:w Welcome to the Corvette Action Center.

I have one suggestion: get rid of the wimpy stock exhaust sound!

Welcome Back

Hello and welcome back Rob. I too have upgraded to a newer 2002 convertible. I love it. They did this one right! I loved my old vette (1986) but this one is so different. What a ride!
Good luck with your new ride.

Dear Diary: Day 12, and I can't stop thinking about her...Needed to get something at the mall last Saturday but couldn't find a parking spot with enough 'buffer zone' - so no mall visit (no big loss there ; ). Seem to be purposely forgetting items each store run, requiring another trip out. Also forgotten all the shortcuts around town which used to save driving time...

I am down with the sickness. No doubt about it. And damn this car is quick. My buddy calls 6th gear 'Hyperdrive'.

Thanks for the kind words and warm welcome. Got my Blackwing today, will install tomorrow.

Congatulations Rob

It's out there in the driveway calling you.............Rob, come back, Rob where are you? I guess you had to take the "long way home." I hope you are enjoying it, and welcome to the action center, the best site for all corvette owners!
