My name is Jerry, most everyone that knows me calls me PhilBilly (i was born and raised in Arkansas and my mother was Filipino). I'm a retired Chief Engineman after many years of service in the United States Navy.

After many years of drooling over every Corvette I would see, I finally deceided to get one. I've been a Chevy nut for many years. I mainly had pass me down farm trucks when I was younger then that evolved into a fixation with sport trucks up untill about 3 years ago when I latched onto a 1984 Z28HO and after driving that for 6 months, I latched onto a 1988 IROC/5speed. Having the 2 Camaros only fueled my desire to own America's best, so after much seaching and looking at alot of C4's I made my decision and actually bought a 2002 C5. In the short period of time I have been a member of this site I have gathered an abundance of information.

I currently own and drive:
2002 Corvette
2003 Chevy Tahoe
1993 Indy 500 Silverado Package C1500
1991 Silverado C1500
1988 IROC-Z
1984 Z28HO

I have a 1974 Chevy C10 stepside pickup that my grandfather bought new back in the day that is in the middle of a frame off restoration, so I dedicated most of my time and energy to that.

Welcome Jerry, glad to have you! As you've already discovered, there's a wealth of info here. I'd love to see some pics of those F-bodies not to mention the 74 C-10. I'm on my second, the first was an 84 Custom Deluxe heavy half and now I have an 85 Silverado. Love them old Chevy trucks - they're indestructible.

Thanks for the welcome Eric, I will get some pics up soon of all of the vehicles.

Now the only question is what to drive to work! Congrats on the purchase!

Wanna bet, Eric? Let my wife have it for a few minutes, she'll prove you wrong in no time! :chuckle

Good guys drive white.Welcome:D
I guess that means I used to be good since my 71 was white. Pewter is just some strange shade of gray so I guess I'm living in the shadows.

I don't think I want to know the story behind this one.:eek

I put some albums under my profile with a few pictures in them of some of my rides. Will get more up eventually.

Welcome to the Corvette Action Center Jerry aka Philbilly! Your enthusiasm for Chevys and excitement over your first Corvette is fun to see. That's because we've all been where you are. :thumb

Glad you're poking around the site to discover as much info as possible. Be sure to check out the Tech Center and Model Center if you haven't already.

And don't be afraid to ask questions or advice. Chances are pretty good that someone here has experienced it before. ;)
