Theres no need to buy the color matched engine components as Mid America catalogue displays which will cost a fortune ; instead , Krylon spray paint for plastics is the same red color as the red paint used for the corvette letters as found on your two engine covers. The Krylon name for this paint on the can is : 'Red Pepper' . Costs about $5 ea. at Ace Hardware.
There are many other Krylon colors for plastics in case you want to do some of your engine plastic parts another color to match the exterior of your car.
I did my plastic in the engine bay with the 'Red Pepper' but since my exterior is the Lemans Blue, im going to re-do them with a lighter shade of blue.
By the way, the paint for plastics holds up very good to the engine heat.
