Yep, I hear you..

Hey Z_OH_6, I have to tell you, I love yellow!!!
Thank you sir! And I love black, especially if it has two red stripes adorning the center! HA!! Gorgeous!:D

Slickman, why did you take down the Avatar pic of your coupe? That was an outstanding pic! I loved those red stripes- sort of a Z16 appearance, but with red on black.

Not that I don't like the American flag, but that pic was awesome. :cool

Hi, I usually post in the C3 area, but I just wanted to make a comment on the other Vette forums. After buying my Vette (and I wish I'd done it before I bought, but that's another story) I tried several discussion forums. IMHO this (the CAC) is definitely the best: friendly helpful people and no p***ing contests.'73

Heidi,

I met Slickman on this forum and ended up buying his 78. He had that car in top notch condition. The paint finish was like new and the car was in great shape. You helped me quite abit with some questions I had with the 78.

I sold the 78 a few weeks ago and my new 2004 Coupe was born on July 9th. I love it!:upthumbs . I put a few coats of Zaino on it last week and I'm putting another coat on today.

This forum is tops!:D

Hey Isaac, did that guy give you an email address? I like to keep in touch with him too and keep an eye on my baby!!;)

Well, it took all of 7 min to lock a post I started!! I posted a "GOOD BY" post..

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/showthread.php?t=870775

In the event they remove it (which would not supprise me at all), here is my good by..

I feel this entire situation with posting vendor information has been handled poorly. I also feel this forum is not allowing members to communicate information to each other which is one of the primary reasons of having a forum in the first place. Weather a supplyer is a forum supporting vendor or not should not stop the communication of information that would be valuable. To insists that any vendor (personal or not) be a supporting vendor in order to post this information is totally ridiculous!

It was not this was in the past AND there have been MANY members that have listed vendors that are NOT supporting vendors. If anyone thinks that this is not true then your not being honest with yourself or the members.

If a vendor wish’s to advertise within this forum then I agree, they should be a supporint vendor. However, when members are just stating were they got a great deal, wonderful quality or services should be allowed no matter what………

To have a rule that limits members in a BIG way of communicating information to each other is not a forum I wish to be part of.

Good by and good luck!

I don't mind forums being run for a profit until it becomes a buisness and quits being a passion.

plus they praise a convicted wifebeater :mad

Hey Slick and irf,
I remember that beautiful 78SA and also when irf purchased it. I wish my 78SA looked so nice...but I drive the heck out of it! Safety, reliability and cosmetics. In that order.

Hi Heidi,

My one regret was not driving the heck out of my 78. I treated it like a museum piece and put very little mileage on it. I remember you telling me last year to drive it and enjoy it. Your advice was very sound :) .

I'm definitley going to drive my 04 as much s I can. Since it's my second car I'm fortunate that I don't have to drive it in the bad winter weather or rain. Otherwise I'm taking it to work and ejoying it:w
