Welcome aboard!! Take it from me, you will love THIS forum!! There is no other!!:upthumbs

I joined that forum within a couple of days of joining CAC, I visited it a couple of times and haven't been back since. The CAC is by far the best forum I've ever belonged to, the layout and the features are awsome!

Slickman,

My daughter, the one who came with me to pick up the 78, said your car "is the sharpest car she's ever seen"! She loves the paint work you just did. :w

I'm glad I have so many fans!!!:D :D

WOW SLICKMAN, that is one slick ride. I am new to the CAC. I am a first time owner of a 2004 Yellow Coupe. I checked out a couple of the other sites and landed here. It is by far a very enjoyable site with tons of info.

I permanatly left the CF when they went postal and killed of the kill section. Those guys are slowly killing the entire forum over there.

Only in that I can do a pretty mean Wolfman Jack voice imitation......when I'm not smoking! It can be kinda tough on the old throat when done for an extended period of time.

Wolfman Jack was, IMO, the best radio personality ever, especially when he was coming out of XERB in Mexico.

Yeah, one guy over there got the azz at me over something stupid and said things along the lines that if I wasn't such a newbie (he even looked up my profile to figure the exact number of days I had been a member) I would know what they were tallking about. Sorry, old chap, but even you weren't born knowing everything! He had the nerve to say such rude things on his computer but I'll bet he wouldn't say them to someone's face. TOUGH GUY (in his mind)!!

I'm glad to see I'm not alone.. The attitude over there is totally uncalled for and all the mods should be kicked off.

The real problem there is that all the mods are in the same small town psychiatric ward and the doctor only visits town once a month.....to see his girlfriend.

Your observation is consistent with many other refugees here.

I had joined the CF a couple of weeks ago, but I have never posted. After seeing this I will never return. The CAC is my home. Thanks again to all the wonderful people running this site.

Ok guys. Let's refrain from bashing other forum web sites please. They have their rules and dictate how things should or shouldn't be enforced, and we have our rules here and dictate them according to how they're written.

Please respect the other forum sites even though you may not agree with how they operate. Thanks.

Let me take Rob's point a step further:

Every internet community or forum has its warts. That's just a given, although some are better than others. And an equal given is that members at communities react to those warts.

Rather than a thread that bashes the other Corvette communities on the internet, let me turn this in a different direction. My loyalty is, since I have never been a member at any other Corvette site, to the CAC. And as a recently promoted forum moderator, I would like to know a bit more about how the CAC can help its members. What do you see that we could do better? Are there areas we're not as strong as we could be? What could we do to better the information exchange and fun that we aren't yet doing?

Now, those are questions I'd like to see this thread address. :)

Thanks in advance for your answers! :w

Patrick,

I'd prefer that you start another thread in the Off Road Lounge with those questions. I think this thread has outlived its usefulness.
