1966,and a 1962 thats almost complete
I need to purchase a body rotissery and I am looking for recomendations on where to purchase one with in the next week or so

My preferences are.

1-I can safely transport the body on the rotissery on a car trailer

2-I can turn the car buy my self

3-Once I am done with it I can break it down for storage.

Larry,

Here is one source who has a variety of products for frames and bodies: http://www.accessiblesystems.com/ I have also seen them on e-Bay and you might want to check there.

The Vette body will require more support than a steel bodied car though. Some folks have built their own (I think John McGraw has done that) so you should contact him to see what he has done. I use a square steel body dolly (which doesn't rotate) and will be making or getting a rotisserie for the frame.

Charles Bernhardt also built one and here is a link: http://www.carols62.com/apr01.html

Ive bought alot of equipment from accessible systems and have been pleased but I dont know if I would trust transporting a car on it on a trailer. Also search google for the whirly jig,its a little higher in price but built a little better.

Thanks for the info paint daddy and Rich. A repair shop in town had a rotissery and loaned it to me. I had to make a body dolly to mount the body on.And then I had to make adapters to mount my body dolly and body to the rotissery.

With some 6X6 landscape ties as blocking to remove the flex of the entire contraption it traveled very well on my car trailer.
