I just bought an 85 coupe, and the roof seals immediatley started leaking. I think I've narrowed it down to the front weatherstrip that goes around the windshield). I've order the replacement weatherstrip, but I'm kinda flying blind on how to install it. Does anyone know of a good do-it-yourself website?

BTW... I'm a new member and I've really enjoyed the info and insight I'm getting from people who've owned these cars in the past...thanks for any help in advance.

This is the best do it yourself website there is.I will describe the best way that I can on how to put the weatherstrip in .First remove your old weatherstrip .It is glued in so you may have to scrape some of it with a screwdriver or simalar. If I remember correctly, the front and rear weatherstripping are held in by a lip/groove/track or whatever youd like to call it.Without glue, lay your new rubber out and starting at the middle of the top, work the rubber in to the track/groove.For this I use a decal applicator or body filler spreader.Whatever you use make sure it doesnt have sharp edges. After you are done, check for leaks. If it leaks, remove it one side at a time, from the end up to the middle of the windsheild.Apply the glue in one foot sections,to the car and to the rubber, wait a few minutes and start working it back in to the track.Repeat until you get back to the bottom.Good luck
