I have serached through threads here for help with my 92 vette with 43k miles. I have been told to pull the codes. I used the plugs from Gordon Killebrew.

Using the CCM plug I got H41 - Loss of ECM data communications

H72 - LCD dimming out-put circuit open or shorted to the ground

Symptoms: Service Asr ligth comes on occassionaly and dash flickers.

What do I need to do?

Blinking lights

This is a real long shot, buy my dash blinked and gave a 'SYS' error. Also, the battery went dead when the door was open for 1/2 hour or so. Discovered the battery was original (1995) and this was in 2003.
New battery, no more blinking lights or 'sys' error.

There are a lot of threads on loose digital dash connections, etc. that may also be your problem. I'd check the battery condition first (and both ends of the ground and hot leads to the battery).

Thanks jmccloud,

I went to Autozone and had them check the battery. Sure enough it was a bad battery. Put a new battery in and so far no more "SYS" and no more flickering dash.:upthumbs

Now I just gotta figure out why the service ASR light keeps coming on:mad .

Thanks again for the help:beer
