Welcome to the Corvette Forums at the Corvette Action Center!

I want this AND the contents!!!!!

look at the left side of the garage....there is a HUGE generator there....why the heck would you need a generator outside your garage? we have stuff like that at work when you don't want to loose power in the case of a thunderstorm or other cause....maybe because of the cars and an alarm system? any ideas?

You Said It............

In the event of a power failure, you produce your own power, lights, heat, air conditioning etc. Alarm system, fire protection on & on.

Yes quite a collection,

you know I always think if some one owns a vette he must belong to some type of an online forum and we would know of him.But sometimes I have to remind myself that the corvette world is so much bigger then the online forums.I am sure there are plenty of other collections like this hiden away.

PS once you get a generator youll never want to be with out one again.

You'd better believe it, especially with our Mickey Mouse electric utility company (DTE, formerly Detroit Edison); we'll NEVER be without power again, whether we're home or not. :)

Oh no you don't John. You're not getting out of this thread without telling us what you know about the garage, the cars, etc. ;)

good call Bob. I'll be surprised if John didn't know anything about these cars.
it's probably his garage and his cars that he has been holding back on us! :D

I think at best John can say that LP or natural gas generators are the way to go if you are serious - ice storm, schmice storm. We went the same direction at my dad's place outside of Syracuse - he had a real problem going away for months on end during the winter, with the fear of a power outage possibly leading to burst pipes flowing water for a month or so - tends to do catastrophic harm. Now, the gas-fired generator would kick on, and the furnace would continue to function just fine.

(hint - some folks that know that L88 car chimed in over in the NCRS forum).
