I Won Windsor Canada Car Show! Pix inside

Here are some pix for your viewing pleasure...I entered the Windsor Ontario Canada car show on a whim...not knowing what to expect, and I was surprised to win "Best of Show".

I can't tell you how kind, polite and accomodating the Windsor Corvette Club was to me at this show. This was only my second show I've ever entered and I was really nervous not knowing how I'd do. There were some really nice cars there....

The first photo is a picture that I took in the park where the show was held, and the three towers are the RenCen/GM Headquarters in the background. The other two pix were of one in front of a waterfall by the casino, the other one is of me with my awards...hope they are not to big for those of you who have 13 or 15" screens.

Winning is great isn't it? But I love just participating too and being with all the other Vette owners. I put my '81 in a Concours judged show last weekend and took 2 awards (very unexpectedly). She's not true show quality by any standards but she was good enough in class. The trophies look kind of cool next to my golf trophies. Congrats Luvmy82!! And that is one beautiful ride.

You are so right Nut, I think half of the reason why I enjoyed myself so much at the show was the people. Dang, those Canadians are SOOOO darned polite.

As a matter of fact, I have a digital camera (hence, the photos you see now) and I took digital shots of the cars that were parked on either side of me and printed them off on my Epson photo printer at home. I'm sending them their digital photos on CD ROM along with a nice, glossy 8x10 suitable for framing. Hey, I don't want them to think that Americans are snobby, right?

Congrats on the concorse division, I know that if I even attempted concourse, I'd have a nervous breakdown trying to get my car that clean and true to production standards....I'm sorry, but concourse judging is waay over my head...I'll give you an "atta boy" slap on the back for being gutsy enough to enter!

I didn't get the exact fade I was hoping for, but I guess it was just too difficult with the paint and colors I had chosen. I'm still happy nonetheless. If you make it out to SharkFest this year, you'll see me...
