Identification questions

Thanks John. It's hard to sort out the real truth sometimes at local shows, but brakes are one subject I don't like to be wrong about. I have been reading enough on CAC to trust your opinion for sure. :BOW Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread either. :duh

guys, I don't think there was dot 5 brake fluid in 1975. dot 3 should be fine. If i'm wrong, let me know, but I'm pretty sure dot 5 is a recent invention.

I know it was available in 1979, an my Harley needs it - stamped on the m/c cover. . .again, check your own reservoir using John Z's test before adding fluid

original silver paint found

Update: I finally found some silver paint on the car last night. The driver side door panel was not installed properly so I removed it. The inside of the door under the panel was clearly painted silver. I am guessing whenever I remove the interior parts I will find silver somewhere under there as well.

I also found the seats were originally gold - not sure what year they came from.
