I'm looking fo the correct Qjet for my car, it's a 7042203, it has factory AC and should have an idle compensation assembly at rear of carb. I've looked at numerous Qjets but really difficult to find one with this assy. There was 17 grand AC vettes in 1972, this circuit picked up rpm when AC was on, a lotta carb folks don't know what I'm talking about, I did find one on ebay, screws tapped and ported for the assy, what happen to the rest of these carbs? Anyone know a source?

Thanks Mike

Go hunting in a junkyard. The part is not unique to Corvettes. Very, very common among GM products of that vintage.

Page62,

I agree, but Qjets are different you have to have the appropriate jets and metering rods, not just the tapped base to put the circuit in. I'm headed out to salvage this week , but I still can't help wondering where these carbs went. Maybe the junk yard, huh?
