I want to see a pic of the pillar gauges when you are done.
Shure.. it would have been cooler if they came in glowing blue instead of green but there still cool.. oh and the vacuum gauge is actually a vac/boost gauge in wishful thinkinging of a supercharger.. LoL no they did not have a vac gauge available in that series.. I was also looking at digital gauges... but I found dokota digital makes a nice setup that are teal but they were really expensive and you had to buy the sending unit which was also expensive then there was another company nordskog I think saw them through summit there gauges would come in amber digital that is.. but they only have a boost gauge and I want a vaccuum gauge.. later i may also install a fuel press gauge.. once I see how hard it is to install and it has to be an electric i don't need a fuel line running into my cockpit.. if you know what I mean.. plus I've been told that it's illeagle at some dragstrips.. which i could see why.. anyway once there in I will post some pics up here..

Trans Together

I just got the trans all re assembled accept for the pan.. The trans go kit was really a nice setup.. I just hope it preforms like everyone claims.. Now all I have to do is reconnect the rear control arms and route the one cooler line and I'm stuck until I get the money for the vigilante.. Oh and my gauges are coming probably wendsday so I'll have something to mess with next weekend.. along with routeing the wiring for the neon..

I plan on ordering my Torq Conveter Tomarrow!!!! And my new gauges and gauge pod will be arriving tomarrow as well!

Yes Vigilante.. as for stall i dunno yet I'm going to talk to them on the phone right now and try to oreder it direct from PI..
-Rick

jut oreder it around 800 bucks.. anyhow I found out that I get 1 free stall speed adjustment with it.. incase I upgrade the gear ratio from 3.07... the flash stall speed will be effected by the gearing... anyhow sweet deal I'm pretty excited so far!!! btw really nice gal named Vicki took care of me..

I guess I'm too late then, you move too quick -lol
I was going to tell you to get thier recommendation on stall and then call Tom Izzo @ http://www.ls1speed.com/
He's local and usually has the best prices around.
You could got it for $699.
Anyway you will enjoy the converter.
Keep us posted on your progress.

Yea I guess I do move to quick.. anyhow atleast I know my converter is being hand built for me.. they said they it will be done in about 4 days and they will call me when it's ready to ship. my gauges are not here yet kinda disapointing.. Fed Ex. I think it was about 789 or something like that so at most I could have saved a hundred dollars.

sorry bro.
They "custom" build all of them. Precision is a great company to deal with, thier customer service is top notch.
Fed-Ex is always late delivering to my house.
It's too cold to be working in the garage anyway. -lol

This is True..
I just wanted to see my nice new shinny gauges :)
another Christmas present to myself.. just like Vicki at PI asked is this order a Christmas present I said yea to myself hee hee..
money money money.. just hope that all this money and agrivation I spend pays off and that my trans works good along with some added performance.. atleast that the trans works the first time because no matter what I will get this trans to work for me..

Gauges did come!!!

Hee Hee Dumb Fed Ex screwed up again.. they dropped my gauges off on my neighbors door step.. luckly it's all good he came over and gave'm to me.. and all is good.. with the exception of the trans temp gauge that doesnt give you a way to T in the the temp sender with the cooler hose kinda cheesey they should give you a manifold for it with 2 nipples you can connect the the cooler hose too... any suggestions?

One thing or another...

This past summer, my alternator went out. Ok, I replaced it with one I bought from the Vette' junk yard. Couple of months later, the battery pooped, replaced that with a A/C Delco. About a month ago, I get a flat tire and decide to replace all four. This weekend, that alternator went and I'll be replacing it this weekend.

I guess Corvette's really do have wallet sensors built in the seats! LOL. Everytime pay day comes around, something always seems to go wrong!:L

Like I said "if it's not one thing it's another" My dream is turning into a financial nightmare.. but hey I don't care I love my vette..

I say we all go buy new ones and those problems won't be for many years!:L :L :L

Gauges are in

Well I got the gauges mounted still need to consult a wiring diagram so I can hook up the dimmer switch to the lighting and an ingition +to the trans temp, also need to find a ground and route the vac. and trans sender wire through the fire wall...

Other then that they look awesome... very happy with how they turned out.. once I find a hole in the fire wall I can also route the power wire for the neons...

I'm getting a little closer everyweekend to getting this thing back together.. trans is assembled just waiting for the Vigilante..

I have a few small things to finish to have the car ready for re-install of the trans... like tightening the rear half shaft yoke bolts, and re connecting the rear lower control arms..

anyway thats the update for thisweek end.. I shouldpost some pics of the gauges some time..

Thanks Vettn94

First off would like to say thanks to Nick AkA Vettn94 for the sender setup that he sent me... really appreciate it..Also thanks for the the gutted cats you sold me.. I'm going to get those bolted on at some point aswell..

Second My VIGILANTE CAME IN THE MAIL TODAY!!!!!

Yay!

Anyway hopefully I can start putting the trans back intomarrowwould like to take it for a ride this weekend..

I atleast got a few minutes to work on the vette tonight, and I now got the half shaft yokes tightend.. just need to finish re-connecting the lower control arms and installing the temp sender need to find a nice location.. then I can reinstall thetrans.. i still have to finish up the wiring for the gauge install and wiring for the neon gill lights.. but that is secondary to the trans job... I'm excited to see if this trans is going to fly or not.. hopefully this rebuild is more sucessfull then the last...

Rick,
No problem about the sender. It's been sitting in my toolbox for about 3 years, I'm just glad to see it put to use. I hope the fittings are the right size for you.
Good luck with the trans, let me know how it turns out.
Hopefully the decent weather continues and you can get it out for a test drive.

I changed the compression fittings on the sender I went out to home depot and picked up 2 male pipe fittings with a nipple on em so I could just run trans cooler hose to it.. I know it's not going to give me the "actual" trans temp being mounted away from the trans but it will be good enough for my purposes.. yes I hope the weather continues suppost to be snowing this weekend i think.. I'm going to try to start getting the trans back in if I feel up to it tonight..
