The ignition key is stuck? in the switch. It goes into reverse just fine and all other gears. (DN 4+3) In the past I've sometimes had to put it in gear 2 or 3 times but now it seems it's permanent. Has any one else had this problem? Can't find any threads related to it.
:confused ;help

How far does the key turn? Can you turn it all the way off and to the lock position? How about all the way to the Accessory position? If either of those situations is the case, the culprit won't be the reverse lock-out cable from the 4+3 shifter; it'll most likely be in the ignition switch and lock mechanism itself.

If it is the cable from the shifter, it is not a simple chore to repair. Actually, the repair isn't what takes the time - it's the disassembly of everything that kills ya.

Hi Ken........No, it will not go into the 'lock' position. Guess that could be a blessing, huh?
Thanks again for all the help you give.

Hmmm... I'm going to hold off for a little while until we see if someone has some more experience with this situation than I. I have had problems with my column before, but I've always had someone else do the work - it's a jungle in there! :L

Currently, I've disconnected my cable completely; I don't even run a clutch safety switch.

Anyway you look at it though, you've got a lot of disassembly before you will even get to the root of the problem. They never make it easy.

I remember someone having this problem about a year ago. I think they just kept changing the gears and turning the steering wheel and then it popped out. I dont remember what the problem was. Good luck though.

This may be a little nugget of info that may be helpful. Key is stuck, and T10 is starting to howl a little, well, more that a little.
First things first, filled her with gear lube. Can you believe 1 1/2 quarts low? Right off the bat, key pops clean now, each and every time. For what it's worth.
