I had a friend of mine replace the rear leaf spring on my '73 and after that I asked him to drop the car off at a buddy's shop for new exhaust. On the way due to axiom of "shit happens", the lug nuts weren't properly tightened (don't ask) on a back wheel. It fell off and resulted in a cracked rear fender. :hb

My question:
Any ideas as to what the insurance company will do to try to avoid covering this accident?

I could use any and all angles. ;help

Thanks fellas.

Why wouldn't they cover it? The car got damaged. The damage doesn't have to happen by someone else's misdeed. No different than if you backed it into a cement pylon or something. As long as you have collision or comprehensive, you should be OK.

DISCLAIMER: ...as long as you were legally allowed to be moving/driving the car and had it properly insured.
