Intake water leak?

Hi brit_trader

The leak is definitely from the intake gasket. Bit of a relief because when I saw water dripping onto the starter I was praying it wasn't from a core plug (freeze plug) or even a cracked block!:cry

Started removing the TPI intake & fuel rails and all the other stuff. There are so many wires, hoses, and vacuum lines, it's gonna take forever I won't have much time at the moment so I'll just have to do a bit every day until it's done.

Looks like a right pig of a job!:(

If you're from London do I know you? I go to the Kent and Surrey CCCUK meets. Went to Kent meet last night where I discovered the leak. It's pretty slow but it doesn't stop so it's gotta be done!;)

Hi Malcolm,

I am Paul with the 69 Big Block with the blown Head Gasket. I was at the Kent meet the other night and spoke to you. I gather the solution to your problem is to replace the Intake Gasket, is that correct ?

Intake gasket failure

Hey Malc the gaskets are not very good. I am having Callaway do work on my car right now and that is one of the things they are changing. Contact Jim Jones at Callaway 1860 434 9002 he can tell you what they are using now. Peter

Help, my car's leaking water. It looks like probably the intake gasket, what do you reckon? Car's a Callaway but the TPI intake is the same as stock.
