My 94 convertible has a leak somewhere which is causing the floor carpet on both side to get wet when it rains. This is when it is parked and it rains really hard. I'm thinking its the windshield /roof seal but not sure. I haven't tried to sit in the car and hose it down yet but I can't find any trace of water on the inside windshield trim or anywhere else. I was wondering if it could be leaking in around the firewall somewhere. Has anyone hade this problem ? It's not the heater core leaking either as it has been bypassed.

There is a screen, I think they call it a plenum screen, just below the windshield wipers. There are a couple of drain grommets on the outboard ends with hoses that may be plugged. Use a flash light to check them. Just a thought.:bar

Just take a hose running slowly, and let it run into the drains under the windshield. If one or both fill up, they are clogged. On my 88, the hose on the drivers side runs just in back of the battery and is about 3/4 ". You can pull it up and see if the hose is full of dirt.
