Is washing rear wheel assemblies likely to contaminate bearings?

If I shoot cleaner like Purple Stuff, Simple Green etc. all over the rear wheel assemblies, then give a solid rinsing with a water stream from various angles, is bearing contamination a concern?

If your seals are not letting grease out then they won't let water in. The outer seal is shielded by the rotor and the inner seal is shielded by the control arm so there is no way to apply a high pressure water blast to the seal lip.
