This forum has become a sling-fest rather than a useful, informative forum. Not only have I closed more threads in this forum than any other, but I've received complaints from several members that used to frequent this forum and no longer have any desire to do so.

I'm one of them - however, lately, I find that I'm coming in here more for administration purposes than for the enjoyment of any content.

Starting now, that is going to change.

  1. This forum is for the discussion of the 2005 C6 Corvette and nothing else. Not C5 Corvettes, 50th Anniversary Corvettes, or Cadillacs.
  2. This forum is not a popularity contest for members.
  3. This forum does not exist to bash GM/Chevrolet. If you want to express your opinions on a certain issue, be it negative or positive - fine. If you want to continually bash GM in an insulting manner - don't do it here. For the record, no, GM has not contacted me and asked me to post this. My own forum members have and I am in agreement with just about all of them.
  4. The existence of this forum has done NOTHING to boost membership numbers here. In fact, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if it's discouraged people from joining here due to some of the bull**** I've seen posted lately.
  5. We are not in competiton with the CF and their C6 forum. I don't care about statistics of threads posted in their forum compared to here. I don't care about the speed at which new information is posted there vs. here. What happens at the CF is their business. Don't waste your time analyzing and assuming statistics between both sites and posting your assumptions in this forum.
  6. Stop insulting one another. If you do not agree with the opinion of one person - state your disagreement, agree to disagree and move on. If you want to flame one another do it in the chat room one on one, privately via email or in The Edge forum. NOT HERE.
    [/list=1]

You know the source of the problem!! I own one if you get the drift!!

Thank god that's over. Now where are the spy photos?

Hopefully, EVERYONE will get the message and understand that this is supposed to be a fun and exciting forum where corvette freaks can wet their appetites with interesting information, make new friends and stay ahead of the rest of the pack in getting the inside scoops.
ooooooooohhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!

Ok, if you guys want the real deal, here it is. Geez, I hope GM doesn't see this because they will not appreciate me releasing this information to all of you but hey, it's just an example of the sacrifices I'm willing to make for our forum members. ;)

So here's the deal: the C6 prototypes were all conducting high speed testing out in the desert near Roswell. In order to evade the watchful eye of Jim Dunne and his stealth like ability to capture a "Kodak Moment", they were conducting high speed runs at night, when suddenly one of the engineers spotted a strange redish-green light in his rear view mirror that was following in the air close behind.

As the C6s came up over the crest of a hill, they saw a strange disk like mass in the middle of the road ahead. They quickly stopped in front of it. The pulsating redish-green light stopped and hovered overhead.

Suddently, a tractor beam hit the C6s and sucked them all up underneath. Once inside, the engineers got out and were quickly apprehended by the short, little evil alien known as "Dark Helmet" and his Storm Troopers. Using his Schwartz, he threatend the engineers to lift the hoods of the C6 to reveal the engines powering these future Corvettes.

Being the loyal GM engineers that they are, they refused. As punishment for their disobediance, he has restrained them into the seats of virtual reality machines and forced them to drive Ford Mustangs until they scream in pain.

Along with that horrific torture, he has contacted GM and is holding the engineers for ransom in return for knowing what's under the hoods of the C6 and what materials are used for engine construction.

Word has it, that at this very moment one engineer, "LoneStar" is trying to negotiate a deal with Dark Helmet. In order to spare the engineers lives and the C6 prototypes, "LoneStar" is offeing Corvette coffee mugs in exchange.

Last I heard negotiations were looking bright.

No, I'm not smoking or drinking anything. Every once in a great while, I get too much time on my hands, and I feel the need to let loose. :L :D

"Oh, you humans and your C6 Corvettes are making me verrrrry angry! How is Martian technology suppose to advance? If you do not tell me what it has under the hood, I shall have to use my Illudium Space Modulator on you all!"

I thought of portraying Marvin the Martian, but the movie SpaceBalls just kills me. :L :L

Colonel Sandurz: Prepare ship for light speed.

Dark Helmet: No, no, no, light speed is too slow.

Colonel Sandurz: Light speed, too slow?

Dark Helmet: Yes, we're gonna have to go right to ludicrous speed.
