you need to calculate the area of the jet hole and the area of the pri metering rod and subtract the area of the rod from the area of the jet. then come up with a combination that is 2% less area for every 1500 feet you are above sea level. you need to do the same for the secondary side. doug roes "rochester carburators" book explains it all very well
