Just got my Z06

BLUBYU said:
Well, I got it yesterday !!! I flew up to Chicago yesterday morning and drove it back to Cincinnati .... watching my rearview mirror the whole time for that nasty snowstorm scheduled to hit Chicago yesterday afternoon. I made it home with time to spare. 4hrs 30min from west side of Chicago to Cincinnati ... not too bad.

I did get to experience the fuel guage issue where the guage goes to E all of a sudden. I stopped, filled the tank again and everything was fine. I guess I will take it to the dealer and get the sending units replaced since it should still be under warranty.

The thing is like being in an F14 ... light years away from my 95 LT1 6 speed I sold to get this one.

Hey Pat,
Congrats on the new Z! They are great cars..a lot of fun to drive.
Great color choice too.

I have a couple of suggestions for you.
First, have you read "All Corvettes Are Red?
If not, you should that way you'll understand my
second suggestion, for your vanity tag.. NOT RED.

Best of luck,
BTW, how's your bowling going?

Pedro:w

My bowling ?? How did you know? ....... to answer your question I'm sitting around a deuce right now ......

It's in your profile...

A deuce is good...any 700's this year?

I used to bowl and coached kids in it for 12 years.

Stopped bowling about five years ago.

Enjoy..

Pedro

Z06 with low mileage is always the best.
Price is good.

Congrats on the purchase:D. As you can see by me sig I have an '02 EB Z-06. Picked mine up this past November in the D.C. area and drove it home in the pouring rain. Since that time I've read where the Z-06 can be a beast on wet roads. I guess there is a reason for the active handling system cause I didn't once have any problems. Now the question????? Did you score any kills on the way home:r ?

I sure enjoy mine and you are right in that it feels like you are climbing into a jet fighter. ESP with the HUD.

Enjoy and don't forget the :w.

H.D.

My eb Z06 plates sa y SACR BLU (sacre bleu)

I also liked

BLUBYU would be great for a Vanity Tag. I'm trying for one with my user name, but if not, at least I have a lot more options now. ;LOL Thanks everyone.

Had a few 7's big nothing big. Mainly shooting little/mid 6's and high 5's. In one of my leagues, Im fighting a horrible carrydown/flood condition with out of bounds outside 10 and no backends .. very tough .... sux :mad

Cool that we have another bowler here !!

That OH plate website is great. Can you believe that here in socialist IL, you have to send in a postcard with 3 choices for vanity plates, and the High Minister of License Plate Choices will decide which, if any, of your requests are acceptable, and will return a verdict to you in 4 to 6 weeks. 4 to 6 weeks! After which, you can send your funds back to the aforementioned il duce and he will try to get your plates to you in another 4 to 6 weeks. Another example of the fine IL bureaucracy in "action." I wonder sometimes why I still live here...

what is even better is you check the website for availabe plates, then go to your local BMV to title it and a week later they arrive in the mail:cool

Well, after several phone calls and countless hours surfing the web, I found my car .... it's a 2003 Electron Blue Z06 with black interior. The car is totally stock and has only 3500 miles on it. I may have paid a bit too much (37K), but a 3K mile Electron Z06 carries a premium price. I pick it up Friday and can't wait !!!!!
.... now I need to come up with a cool vanity license plate ....

Congrats Pat! You got the fastest color!;)

Good Choice and Best Of Luck!

Congratulations Pat on your new purchase. I tried like h--- to buy an Electron Blue ZO6 in '03. They just weren't available. I also sold my '95 LT1 6-spd when I purchased my ZO6. Enyoy! You'll find it quite different than the '95.

SAVE THE WAVE!

Scat Rat,

I had a tough time finding this one... it took me about 6 months to locate one that I was interested in. Every thing I looked at was modified somehow, they wanted too much for it, or it had been beat on. You're right about being different than the '95 ... they don't even compare. The difference in engineering and performance is pretty drastic.

The Electron Blue spins heads everywhere. I think it is the best color they have ever put on a Corvette, with second being Admiral Blue.

See you on the road.....

Pat
