30k on the motor and trans. motor looked very clean! i was very happy to see the bores still has the cross hone still visible!

388 stroker is going in the vette with heads and my LT1 intake.

the T56 6 speed is going in the Z/28 with a 400 sbc with heads and ported base, slp runners, ported plenum and a big ass cam

both will eventually be juiced!

thursday the vette goes to the paint shop for a paint job then off to http://www.FBodyCentral.com for the install of the 388 :headbang:

i'm hoping 400 rwhp and low to mid 11's on motor.

we shall see! i'm still weeks away from the install. still gotta get the heads and get some work done to them along with port matching the intake and some other minor things.

i can't wait! i'm giddy like a school girl right now

i should of took some pics but forgot the camera :(

Right Arm!

Cool!

You're gonna love the low-end grunt of the stroker. I hope your drivetrain lasts better than mine.

Like I said in another thread Mic......I guess Lockheed wanted too much for the F-22 huh? Now you're giddy and I'm jealous.....;LOL

How about a before and after shot of the engine compartment? That way I can REALLY make myself sick.....;LOL

LMAO! yeah just a bit out of my price range by ummmmm only a few MILLION! :L

don't worry i will take alot of pics :D

Mic,

I think you should join Tire Racks frequent buyer club. The combination of a stroker and your "Mad" driving will run through rubber pretty quick.:L:L:L

Was 383 not enough for you?:L

So I take it that you'll have bragging rights over Rich?:D

Ouch! That was low! :)

Mic's had bragging rights over me for the last year because his car RAN... Mine looks better, but it's rather static at the moment. Though I have some nifty C5 brakes to put on, so I'll be able to stop quicker, at least.

Sounds good - I just swapped out an LT4 in my friends GS for a 383 a few weeks ago - we pulled the trans and replaced that w/ a nw one and replaced the clutch while in there - He has a 2 post lift in his garage which made life easy(er) :v :m

Oh, I know, I know... I still feel better that I paid a third of what he did for mine... of course, that was before this last round of mod nightmares.

And his has run faster than mine since I think the second time I went to Capitol with him.

Mic,

Did you modify the LT1 intake yourself?

It will be interesting to see you guys have a duel when both cars are up and fully running.:D

i bought it already redone about a year and a half ago from Colin.......aka Moon Unit.

yeah it should be pretty interesting :)

I'll call you later today, probably afternoon sometime.

It'll be VERY interesting... we'll see who blows up their transmission first :). I just have to get this head issue worked out.

Damn! I never said anything before Mic, but I've always been using your best numbers as a measuring stick for my car. And I was pretty sure I was going to break 13s this year at CruiseFest 05. And it's certanly gonna be a while before I think 11's.
However, a 383 is also in my future, and has been for some time. Possibly in 2006.

About nyernga's thing about before and after pics...you're not going to see a difference, are you? I mean, the 383 is still the 350 block. Does the LT1 intake look all that different than whatever you have now? I'm not much up on all that "new-fangled FI stuff"... :L

don't worry i'm half way there with slipping 1st to 2nd! it only happens every once in a while but 100+ more hp i'm sure it will be toast not long after that :L

most people won't even know the difference :L

Mic,

How much power are you hoping to put down after it's all said and done? That LT1 intake is definitely going to give you more RPM than the TPI and you won't lose any low end power because you'll be going with more cubes.:D

Where does it end?:L

with a good set of heads i'm hoping for 400 rwhp 400+ rwtq.

i'll be happy when she's streetable and capable of 9 second blasts on DR's :D
