My 2000 coupe's key fob got weaker and weaker--distance from car to open.
New CR2450 battery and still I need to be 2-3 feet from the driver's door for it to open and nothing happens from the passenger side or from behind.
Another new battery and nothing's better--bought batteries at two different places.
Just bad luck on batteries or ???? (I'm very careful not to put my fingers on the battery surfaces)
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks

I also own a 200 metallic sebring grey which I love but for the FOB, the FOB. I tried the battery replacement and gave up, will refer to dealer rip=off when it emerges from storage in 05. By the way, have you had trouble with your driver side window seeming working when it wants to?

HI there,
I would also suggest that it is possible that the receiver may not be picking up the signal.
Have the fob tested at your local GM dealership, and see what they say.

I read somehere that holding the fob to your chin while pressing the buttons increases the distance. I tried it and it works. (I think it's using your body as an antenna)
