not really, it only took a couple of seconds. Go to the top of the page and click "Search".
In my case, I clicked on "Advanced search"
In the new page I entered "frisbee" as the keyword. In the "search in Forums" drop down I scrolled down to "1984 - 1996 Corvettes" and clicked on "C4 Technical and Performance" and clicked "Search Now" at the bottom.

There's a wealth of info in there :D

common subjects like the airfoil have usually been beaten to death. This way things will go quicker for you and Ken will keep more of his hair ;)

Haven't you ever seen the picture of Ken with no hair?:L

do what these guys are saying. the free and cheap mods add up trust me :D once your done with those add a cat back or atleast a free flow muffler. check out http://www.madvet.com for a bunch of different styles and types from quiet to loud. then add headers. stock headers the primary is only 1 1/8" in diameter and a good set of long tubes will be either 1 5/8" or 1 3/4" on the primary diameter.

right there is 50 rwhp lurking to be found. some of it is in the tune but i'm not talking chip. i run a stock chip right now.

Cheapest exhaust, if you can bear the noise, is to totally eliminate the mufflers. Local shops do them for usually less than $100. You'll pay at least 2.5x's that for a catback.

the only thing i am not sure about exhaust is what headers the rest will be 21/2 with x pipe & magnaflows & KN & thinking more about 383 crank tb i guess will depend on intake am not sure on that i guess what ever i can get the best deal on not building for track so whatever can get best bang for buck other stuff like rocker, injectors, cam, lifters well be a budget thing .looks like Ill be for some used parts am gladi have a few months to look for parts & put it all together

Noel,

i went with the TPiS long tube headers. fit was very good and came with the front Y pipe.

look for a big mouth base/large runners like AS&M or SLP's/ported plenum setup or an LT1 intake that has been refitted for SB1 blocks. usually you can find these for 500 or less on average. mini ram's and super ram's are in the 800+ range used.

take your time and do your research! this way you know the facts and know what to expect when you do finally build your project!

guys that throw money to the car and don't care about what parts they put in constantly b!tch about their cars running 13.0's with 5k in mods and here i am with 500 bucks in mods and i'm running 13.0's and probably better but i haven't tracked the car since.

Try a different brand. Hedman, Hooker and TPIS all list headers for the '91

intake: greatly depends on what you want out of your car and any future mods you plan to do. check this out: http://www.stealthram.com/intakecompare.html

Not to sidetrack the thread, But I have a question on the Lt1 intake. I have considered the Lt1 for a while. on the link above it says the Lt1 intake are better high rpm intakes (4000-7500) which would be good for the l98 because mine dies out around 4800rpms. But would you lose low end torque? Or would this make the l98 a new monster with it's already great low end, and add upper end?

What makes the L98 a low end monster are the long runners which allow for the air to enter the intake at a high velocity. With the LT1 intake, which is basically the MiniRam intake, the runners are much shorter. You don't lose much, if any, overall power but the power is moved further north on the RPM range.

what he said :D

the LT-1 intake or MR intake are preferred by those equipped with a manual trans.

The LT1's power band is much higher than the L98's, an automatic will need something to help it keep the revs high.
Unless you do something to the tyranny(gears, converter, shift kit etc), you might be disappointed with the LT1 intake on a stock motor.

I ended up with the bigmouth/slp/ported plenum combo. My power band will be moved higher as well but not as high as the LT1.
I'll put it on in stages, I'm curious how much each item really gives me and what combo is best in different situations.

larger throttle body (52mm, 58mm) is a waste of money on a stock L98 unless you make the openings in the plenum larger.
Also a waste of money under 400 cid.

you will have to let me know how it goes that is what i am leaning to wards also
