After having a 1.2 farad capacitor installed for my after market stereo, I noticed the electric driver seat no longer works. I'm hoping that it's just a blown fuse. Attached are two photos of the fuses near the floor, by the driver's door.

1. Can anyone tell me which fuse is for the power seat?
2. Who/where is a good source for these large metal encased fuses ?

81 owner's manual should show the fuse you're looking for and tell you the replacement you need. Have you pulled/tested the one marked "PWR SEAT" in your pics?

:)

Be my guess that it's the one that says PWR SEAT!!:D:D:D

The metal ones are actually Circut Breakers, and rarely go bad!!

Just about any parts store!(Advance,Auto Zone,NAPA,Parts Plus):upthumbs

Junk, I'm sure your familiar with the seat/door lock problem on the C4s, I found a bulletin on it, showed exactly what it what was. The seat action pinches a hot wire, frigs the breaker, door locks don't work (first indicator of a problem) either. Anyways, I was probing around fuse area, I put my thumb on that circuit breaker and it SIZZLED, my thumb ,that is. Wow, How close was that to frying........................I found the bulletin on this site.............
