Hello,

I bought a new leaf spring for my 77 vette. But the new is missing the flat plate at the top. Any idea if you can get the center bolt at leaf spring shops or is it a corvette only thing?

Took the center bolt out of the old one but it broke on the way out. My plan is to take the old plate on put it on the new spring so it will be the same height.

Wipeout,

I find it weird that the new spring should be missing the bolt. What lenght is the old bolt?

The new spring has a bolt but its not as long as the old one. The old bolt is about 2 inches longer. Cant get an exact measurement cause when the bolt broke the spring exploded and I dont know where the other half is now?:L

Now I know to put some c-clamps on the new one when I take the bolt out.

Hi, Any reputable spring shop should have what you need. I'm not clear on what plate your refering to. Be advised two types of springs were installed on your car, 7leaf and 9leaf, standard and heavy duty. Muddywaters
