Personally, I think it's a very good idea to regularly condition the leather in your C5 and all Corvettes.

Leather can dry out over time and if the seat is not protected, continuous exposure to bodily sweat can also cause increased breakdown of the leather over time.

Leather conditioners replenish the natural oils that are normally lost from leather over time. These oils keep the leather feeling soft and supple and decrease the chance of cracking as seen on leather surfaces that are dried out.

How often you condition & clean automotive leather seating surfaces depends on how much the surfaces are exposed to sunlight, heat, ect............daily drivers that are parked everyday in the sun & heat will need to be conditioned & cleaned more then those that are parked inside most of the time..........
