... shall we?

I don't believe mine is working. I've been told that the headlights need to be on in order for it to dim SO, I've tried it with the headlights on, and at NIGHT (I know, I know, call me crazy...) :eek:hnoes

It ain't doin' nuttin'. Anyone have any idea how to go about fixing it?

Anyone?

TIA folks,

Jim

Hi there,

Your autodimming is functional only upon the light sensor seeing LIGHT BEHIND YOU, and thereby dimming the left outside mirror and your rear view mirro

Do this test:

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
Turn ON the automatic day-night feature of the inside rearview mirror. This means that the green LED will be ON.
Cover the sensor on the mirror back, facing the front window.
Shine a bright light into the sensor on the mirror face, facing the rear window.

DOES THE MIRROR DARKEN ?????

Allthebest, c4c5

EXCELLENT Paul,

Many thanks, I'll give it a shot.

Thanks,

Jim
