I've toyed with the idea of putting sidepipes on my car since I bought it. One thing I've discovered from the way I use my car is that I very much dislike mods and systems which are more designed for show and not much for withstanding daily use.

I would like to make this swap someday but I would hate myself if I spent $1100 to $1200 on ceramic coated headers and pipes and then one year later have them look like junk due to rock dings in the front ends of the pipes or peeling, discoloration, or anything else that would in general cause them to look worn.

I know Jet Hot advertises that their coating doesn't peel or discolor. I've also read about guys that claimed to have had problems with both.

Anybody got the straight scoop on this issue?

Haven't used Jet Hot but have used the Dynomax CC headers. The coating burnt pretty good after breaking in a cam. Prior to that there were some small pitting spots that have started to rust.
