low oil light

Sorry everyone posted this in worng forum before but don`t know what to do. When I start my 92 LT1 vette for the first time on a cold start or after sitting at work all day after it starts about ten sec. later the low oil light comes on and won`t go out. I have to shut it off and restart it and everything is fine. This is driving me nuts change oil every 3,000 to 3,500 miles with mobil one and check it and its always fine. Any one have this or know what to check would be appreciated.

The "low oil" sensor is located on the
left side of the oil pan. Sounds like the semsor is acting up, but I'm sure you already know this.

Someone will be along who can offer more info.:confused
