LT1 Cam - Where to buy?

I'm redoing the engine in my 64 and upgrading to a 365 configuration like a lot of folks here. I'm looking for the recommended LT1 cam (F/M# CS1145R/GM# 3972178)) and lifters (F/M# AT992/AT840R/GM# 5231585), but I'm having a heck of a time finding where to purchase these items. A Google search only gave me one place, but I know there has to be more vendors out there that sell this thing. Where did you guys get your's? Thanks.

Got my FM lifters and CAM at CarQuest. Price was reasonable. No luck at Autozone (solid lifter cam??? huh??? what's that) and Murrays.

Crane and Competition Cams make reproduction cams for your appaclation. By the way the 365/327 and the 375/327 fuel injection cam was known as a 30-30 because of the valve lash of .030I / .030E. The LT1 cam was used in 350cu in engines and has a milder grind on one of the lobes, can't rember wheather its intake or exhaust. Why not go to a hydraulic roller, it will outpreform that old cam and have no maintence. Can design has made a lot of progress in the last 30yrs. Good Luck, John

You can order the LT-1 cam from your Chevy dealer - it's GM #12364054, which is a kit that includes the lifters. Lists for $179.00, dealer cost is $125.30. Also available as the cam only from Crane (who makes the GM cam) as their #969551 (lifters available separately).

This is one of the best small block cams you could select. Pulls to 7 grand plus, why give up HP to a hydraulic low RPM cam. :eyerole

WOW, thanks John Z for the part number (12364054). Ordered it from GM Parts Direct (www.gmpartsdirect.com) for 128.43 + shipping. What a steal!!

Update..... GM Parts Direct lists this part as discontinued, so my order didn't go thru. I'll check around the other mail order places.
