Anybody have any experinces, good, bad, or indifferent. With Shorty style headers on a smog-legal LT1 Corvette?

JBA 1815's to be particular, called "Cat 4ward" by JBA
http://www.jbaheaders.com (for 92-96 Corvettes)

There list price is way high, but some used ones may be floating around (I found some cheap) and worth the effort to install.

Kinda wondering about leaks in general on these, I don't like the sound of leaking header gaskets on ANY car!

Thanks,

I doubt you will notice a difference with shorty headers. Long tube is the only way to go.

WAAAAy too expensive for shorty headers. I picked up a set of used Hooker super comps, coated for $275. Installed with off road pipes replacing the cats. Used the flanges from an old set of cats so I retain the stock ones when I'm not "off road". Makes a big difference. Won't know exactly how much until I get to the track.

JBA Shorty Headers

While searching thru EBay this morning I noticed quite a few auctions for JBA Shorty Headers. You can find them by wild carding: "LT1" or "Corvette"
