?????

I've been thinking of modding the GS and dropping in a 383 or 396. What is the current cost for a LT4 383 engine from Callaway?

I read the info on the site.
http://www.callawaycars.com/Corvette/corvetteC4.htm

Next question.... I was looking at the LPE site and they want $14,000 for a 383 package installed. It would cost an additional $4k to $6k for me to ship the car over and back again. I was thinking of buying the motor from Callaway in the states so I can pay in dollars and have it shipped to the callaway shop in germany for install. I wonder if thats possible???

Anyone have dyno results from a SNAT 383?

Bluewasp - The most recent published costs for the SNAT 450 (383) engine was $14,150 and was done on an exchange basis.

Callaway I imagine could work with Callaway Competition in Germany which would be very convenient for you...

For more info, you can always check out this months Callaway of the Month - a GS with a setup like you describe :D

Here is his Dyno sheet :upthumbs

Bluewasp,
This is what I was quoted for an LT1. SuperNatural 383 cid/440 hp: $15,565., includes headers, PCM calibration, 3 years/36,000 mile warranty

Sn/450

Have it in my Impala SS(C9)**You will not be disappointed. It pushes all 4200 pounds into the very low 13's. :D

I had asked for some prices so I am not sure if it was outright or exchange.

Was that outright or on exchange??

Sounds like the prices haven't changed that much in 5+ years :upthumbs

Rob, The current pricing just released last week at Bloomington shows part# 201.41.0063 SuperNatural LT engines - retail price $15,565

Hope this helps :m

I will be heading up to Old Lyme in about a week to pick up my SNAT, apparently I will be overwhelmed with the resuls :)

When I am there, I will ask about "more than 450hp" out of the SNAT package for you...

Great, thanks for the info!!!

What are you having done to your SNAT?

I went to holland this past weekend. I saw a very odd callaway. The twin turbo had the coolers in the front with two holes cut in the hood. I have a few pictures.

Whats going on there bro, not trying to sway you away from Callaway but there are other reputable shops with track proven 383's at their disposal. (Agostino, Nuteck, and Jordan Musser)

When are you coming down to Vogelweh? Hit me up.

The callaway SNAT package might be a little out of my reach. 15k plus core fee is alot of money for me. I'm thinking of buying a 383 short block from SDPC and using my 383 top end I have from LPE. I'm still thinking about a SNAT 500.

I think when you drop your vette in a container in Rotterdam and let it be shipped and return, 3k till 4k tops. You'll have a compleet container on your own.. I could ask around for you alot of clubmember overhere buy a vette in the States and ship it to Holland..

Groeten Peter.

Robert, I think what it boils down to is what are you after??

Sure, you can build (or have built) anyone's short block or engine - what you would get with a Callaway SuperNatural is an engine and heritage that in todays marketplace, seems to have a value added effect, versus other "packages" I have seen on the market.

Having gone the "crate motor route" before, I can certainly appreciate what went into my SuperNatural built by Callaway - Callaway Competition in Germany might even be an option, as far as the install, etc.

I hope this helps :m :v

Robert, I spoke w/ Callaway Cars a little while ago, when I pick my car up next week, they should have more in mind about your SNAT 500 idea, one that sounds exciting!

It was also mentioned that Callaway Competition would be able to handle the installation and make sure everything was right for your Bahn-blaster :eek

What am I doing to the SNAT?? 007 top secret ;) ...I can tell you this, there will be no more dent in the exhaust can (froom the previous owner) - and she will be running faster than ever before :eek

Sounds like you have some pics of #89-010, when can we see them??

Thanks :m

What's this SNAT 500 ... I was hoping they could get more than 450 ... am I dreaming ? Why no SNAT 800 or SuperUnatural TT? (Please do not say compression....say something like it will be available by Christmas :) I spent the $20k+ last year on the SNAT450 install but get stomped by these turbo cars in texas...

Give me more info!!!! I want to start this project soon either with a callaway motor build or build my own motor package....

I'm looking to start working on everything starting in september. After the very very small corvette show in PA! ;)

As for the pictures. I have don't have any place to host!!! If someone is willing to host the pictures I'll e-mail them.

If I was going to do a 383 I would go on to the 427.
