1996 Collector Edition LT4 red interior
Does anyone know where to get the LT4 badge? Kerbeck (Corvette dealer in NJ) says it is not an original GM part. Corvette Central, MidAmerica, Corvette Mike and Eklers don't have it either. I saw it on LT4Man's car and it looks sharp but I haven't heard back from him. Bought a '96 CE LT4, torch red interior a couple months ago. I sold my '81 4 spd then saw this and couldn't resist despite another college tuition bill in hand. Life's too short to sweat the small stuff. Carlisle is this month. Thanks for any help, this forum is great.

Sorry ta say they're few and far between, hope ya can sang one...

My previous Torch Red LT4 Rocket setting in the Smokies, gone but not forgotten...

Thanks for the info folks. Looks like they were available over 6 years ago but have been discontinued by the aftermarket. I'll let you know how it goes with the Canadian shop.

I've been looking for one of those for over a year and a half! I've scoured the interweb, including ebay and every Corvette parts site I can find, but no luck!

I've even tried getting a couple guys who were selling their LT4's locally to peel them off and sell them to me! Still no luck... :mad

If anyone finds a source for these, I'd love to buy one! :Steer :v

I've been checking junk yards too as suggested by LT4Man-Greg but nothing yet. Corvette Central has the LT1 but won't give out the vendor's name. May be able to use the LT1 and modify it.

Wow, Maybe I should put ins. on just the badge! ;LOLBut seriously I hope you find one.:beer

I am still trying the junkyards but found a guy in NY who can make them for about $85 shipped. Can anyone give the dimensions of the LT4 badge? He has 1" x 6" and has a dash as in LT-4 with the bowtie on the left (& painted).

I don't know the exact dimensions, but 1"x6" sounds about right.

I would prefer no dash ( "LT4" instead of "LT-4" ) but given the availability, I don't think being choosy is an option.

Any photo examples? Contact info?

Thanks!

Lt4 Decal

The Sticker Shop should still be able to make the LT4 Decal in my photo. I have 4 more and can send you one if they can't. They were inexpensive and look great.

Can you send me their phone# and email address? That would be great! There's a guy in CA, Corvette World who now has 6 on order from his vendor. Once I hear back from him that he has them, I'll let everyone know the cost, etc.

That looks nice! I have to admit though, now that it looks like we may have a couple of options, I'm starting to be my normal choosy self. Tam sent me file showing the badge he located and it looks nice. On the decal, I don't like the 4. Do you know if there is there any flexibility on that? It almost looks like an A or something... not sure. I still like it though!

This is about the only adulterous modification I would be interested in doing to my exterior. It just seems right and deserved for such a great power plant as the LT4. I mean GM used to put most engine designations on the C3's (except L48 cause...., well why would you) so why not be proud and indicate a great accomplishment! Maybe we can start a lobby group to have GM retroactively institute the badging as standard trim and get the buy-in of NCRS for judging purposes!

I think I am becoming delusional?

Cheers,
:beer

You can pick up used OEMs at swap meets like Carlisle.
