On the cover of the new Mid America Motorworks catalog (combined now for C1-C5) there is a midyear coupe with 6 tailights and two strange holes on top of the rear deck, on each side of the rear window. I'd post a picture, but don't have the ability.

They look almost like exhaust holes in the valance - same size, with a chrome bezel around them. Cabin vents? Anybody know this car or what the holes are for?

I checked the site and the catalog cover shot is too small to see the holes.

I spotted the 6 tail lights right off but didn't notice the bezels until you mentioned them. The area that they are in is just open underbody at the ends of the fuel tank and a little to the rear. I'd guess that the person that did this was looking at his old rear valance after converting to side exhaust and thought of a use for the old exhaust bezels. The only useful purpose they could serve would be to vent some underbody air pressure out. They were probably installed more for just a custom touch that the guy thought was cool looking though.

This is probably the car in question. Really neat metallic red color that the picture does not capture. I kind of remember those "vents" in the rear deck.

Snapped this when Dave W (Magic) and I stopped at MAM on the 2005 Power Tour.
