Mat sensor relocation

Hi all,

I recently installed the
SLP air induction system.
It consists of 3 K&N filters
connected to a metal tubes that
flow the air into the rubber hose
duct work.

I was just wondering what it takes
to do the MAT sensor reloc. I know
most of you have either the stock
air box or the vortex rammer, and
you relocate to that area. What
is involved?

The SLP "claw" does have a 5/8" dia.
opening which I have capped with a
rubber stopper & clamp. Will this
extra opening help me?

Thanks!

Off the subject for a sec......You have the extra hole on the side capped....but the stock hose from ahead of your front left tire (down in the well where the turn signals are), do you have a small PCV filter on that hose?

On my ZR-1 I ran the MAT sensor all the up in front of the radiator. I've seen a couple guys do this and mine has worked perfectly for over a year now

Trance,
I think you are wondering why I capped
the hole. Reason is that while you have
some sort of hose to hook up to it in
your '96, chevy has nothing connecting
to the air box in '93. SLP tailors this
system to you '95-'96 guys!

Are you coming to capital Friday?

Jay,
Thanks for that info. As I read in one
of your old posts, I have to be worried
about driving the car everyday if I put
the sensor down there. I wonder what would
happen if I hit a puddle.
