Mid America Designs Headliner Blackout

I wouldn't be without mine in the Summer. It really cuts down on inside heat.

I recommend also.

a friend of mine has it and it helps for 20.00 ibought silver mylar at home depot and it worked a lot better

One of the first things I bought was the perforated top sunscreen from MAD. I think it really cuts down on the heat.

Saw you are from Waterloo. I lived in Florissant for a number of years and my good friend is a city councilman in Waterloo. I'm thinking of moving there in a couple of years when I retire.

Good luck on the Vette.

I bought a sloid top before I found out about this item, oh well

I'll tell you my experience with this product, and you can decide for yourself.

I bought this product for my solid top, because let me tell you, here in LA in the summer, even the solid top gets hot! Mine is apparently a replacment top, because it's black, not body color, and it soaks up a lot of heat.

The headliner is designed to stay in place with compression, but after several days of trimming the tabs and "popping" it into place, it continued to fall down in the middle. It never actually fell out, just kinda pooched down in the middle. I wound up glueing it in place. After that, it works great!

If I had purchased the thing for a transparant top, maybe I would have spent more time trying to get it to fit, but I probably would have just tossed it.

I use one on my '84.
Had to send back the first one, because the interior part hung down on my head. But they sent me a new one that had a different P/N.
Works fine.
